Looking for photos
I’m not sure if you are able to help but I am searching for any photos or information in regards to Private Lawrence Rodney Sheppard 3790566 .
Larry was my parents best friend and i am looking on behalf of my mum who still struggles with his death and has only now wanted to track down information and photos off him which have been previously lost during a move.
Larry did his training at Puckapunyal Army base before being sent to Vietnam.
Larry was in 7 RAR originally but due to family illness he was transferred out and upon his return was in 1RAR
Larry was killed during the battle of coral on may 13th 1968.
If you can help me in any way it would be much appreciated as I have searched your website but cannot locate him in the photos.
I was not born when Larry lost his life but it means a lot to my family and i would love to be able to track something down for them.
Any help or contacts you can provide would be greatly appreciated and i am happy to pay for any provision of photos or such.

My husband Dennis Power was a National Serviceman in 1972. He was in Infantry 5RAR B-Coy 6 Platoon at Holsworthy NSW at the time of the accident.
we are trying to find anyone who may have been in the truck with my Husband Dennis Power on November 21st 1972 when heading out on an exercise.
His memory of the accident is that a convoy of trucks were heading out on an exercise, he was laying along a seat in the back of a troup carrier while the other blokes were sitting on the floor playing cards. A semi trailer lost control coming down a hill and collided with the truck in which Dennis was travelling. He was taken by ambulance to the Richmond RAAF Hospital with a back injury.
We would very much appreciate any help you can give us. I will have his photos scanned and send them to you as soon as I can.

If you would like to promote our "chalkies" web site http://www.nashospng.com/ to a wider audience then we are happy if you do!
About 300 national servicemen as well as regulars served in PNG in the RAAEC from 1966-1972 or longer with the aim of preparing the local soldiers for their Independence from Australia in 1975. Our aim is to contact as many of these soldiers as possible so that their stories may be told and hopefully share the occasional photo that may have been taken at that time.
Thanking you for your interest,
